Get In 2026: one unforgettable weekend of Scouting!
What a weekend! Our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts were part of Get In 2026, Warwickshire's Festival of Scouting, held from 1 to 3 May at Ragley Hall near Alcester. Together with young people and volunteers from across the county, we enjoyed a huge celebration of friendship, adventure and Skills for Life.
5,000+Scouts, Guides and volunteer leaders
5activity zones to explore
1very memorable weekend
With more than 5,000 people taking part, the scale of the camp was incredible. There was something new around every corner across the five activity zones: Get Active, Get Inspired, Get Hands-On, Get Wild and Get Challenged.
Our photos capture just a few of those moments: taking aim at a target-shooting activity, trying a hands-on vehicle challenge, getting close to nature, taking on a climbing wall and watching the sky light up with fireworks. Most importantly, it was a chance to try new things, build confidence and make memories together.

A big thank you to the Warwickshire Scouts event team and all the volunteers who made this experience possible, and to our own leaders and families for helping us be part of it. We can't wait for the next adventure!
Celebrating Christine Beech BEM: a very special honour for our Group Leader
We're incredibly proud to celebrate Christine Ann Beech BEM, our Group Leader and Chair of the 1st Long Lawford Scouts Group, whose commitment to young people has received national recognition.
Christine was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the King's 2024 New Year Honours for services to young people. The honour recognised her earlier work helping to develop 1st Long Lawford Brownies and the opportunities it has given young people in our community.
On 16 May 2024, Christine was presented with her medal by Warwickshire's Lord-Lieutenant, Tim Cox, at the Memorial Hall in Long Lawford, surrounded by Brownies, family and friends.
Christine brings the same dedication to leading and supporting our Scout Group. Her example reminds us how much volunteers do to help young people make friends, grow in confidence and discover Skills for Life.
From all of us at 1st Long Lawford Scouts Group: congratulations, Christine, and thank you for everything you do!
